Dear Diary,
Due to me already gaining research and finding out from my peer target audience what they would want to see in my film poster and also trying my best to come up with a final solution idea of who my actors/actressess should be, I had decided that it would be the best time ever to finally jump up and start the process of creating my film poster.
I also used this day to mostly get some quick visuals of Sanchia which could be added to my work, to add more to my film since the number of actors/actresses have decreased.
I felt that since doing the risk assessment it made it more easy to start the process of it, it made me more qualified to do so, since I already knew the potential hazards that I could face in the process. I was so happy to start this process, as it was something that I didn't get to do with my original actors/actressess which meant I didn't waste time doing so and starting again, making it new to me.
The location where I decided to shoot the pictures and the visuals of my short film was the television studio.....
Before doing so and entering the television studio I had to hire out a camera firstly and also ask Carol (head of the media department) for the keys to access the television studio.
Once in the studio all I did was asked Sanchia to do a couple of poses behind the green screen, as I was very uncertain of what pose she should have, I was only certain of what the film poster would look like. We took several pictures ones using the prop (the stuffed animal) and one without.
What I did to obtain the visuals of Sanchia....

(one of the recording shots I got of Sanchia, screenshotted)
When it came to finally using the television to secure my important visuals to be at the start of my film, all I did was turned off the lights, gave Sanchia the prop of the dog and asked her to do a variety of stuff with it, from stroking it, putting it in her hand, caressing it and even putting it in her mouth. I had no direction of what exact visuals I wanted of Sanchia, but decided that I was going to try anything possible to restore the same concept of my short film, without it be restricted, because they're now less actors.
This experience was very easy and I mean very easy to do, Sanchia is a girl that is very responsive, if I told her to pose or look in the camera, she would immediately do it and she was naturally photogenic and knew the basis of what my character is like which is crazy, which was a huge advantage when shooting.
Below is a few of the many pictures I took of Sanchia for my film poster.

The shots that I got of Sanchia were really good and very successful, most of the shots were very eye-catching, whereas some of the shots were blurry due to her movement but other than that everything went really well. I feel like the camera also contributed and the lighting we used which was studio lighting and a Canon 700d which is said to be a camera with clear and pristine quality.
The next step after this was to select the picture that I wanted to use as the final one in my film poster and edit it in a film poster format, using the software Adobe Photoshop. The picture I decided to use was this one below.
The picture I used for my film poster ↓

I chose this picture merely because, I felt that the accidental blur that it had once taking the picture could be used to my advantage, when editing it and adding layers onto photoshop. I also liked how mysterious the picture looked naturally, it looked like two people as one, it looked very spooky and as if this person has two sides to them, as if they have a split personality. So once seeing it I decided that this would be the perfect one to edit.
The editing process

The picture effect is what happened as a result of using the ''ULTRA KEY'' effect on Premier Pro

The editing process was overall an unchallenging experience, Ive previously used photoshop for a lot of my units, so I was comfortable with all the settings and functions it had. I explored and experimented with a lot of their options and honestly tried my best to make my film poster look professional.
Based on the response I got from my target audience I had decided to not only take their opinions on board but to also enhance on it and take inspiration from the other film posters I had researched.
For the blurred picture I was mostly experimenting with it in Premier pro and seeing if I could make the background black, I did and once I did that the image went even more distorted, I really like how it added to my picture, making it look even more scary and hazy. After this was then when I decided to put my picture on Photoshop and begin the process of adding a tint to it, font to it and brush strokes.

The 1st step that I did was added a tint onto my picture using the color balance settings, To be honest I was very unsure of what color tint that I wanted, but after a while I decided to pick a the color Magenta, merely because I felt that it went very well with the blur effect in the picture, adding more intensity and drama towards it and also because it was the colors my target audience wanted to see which was Pink and Sliver. - I added sliver for the text border.
The next step after this was adding some features around my picture, I was honestly experimenting with brushes and saw this rose petal brush and all I did was brush it around my picture and to be honest I loved what it did to my picture, it made it look so angelic yet dark. For the rose petals I used the color what my target audience also wanted to see which was sliver.
This picture was before I added the tint to my picture

The 2nd step after that was to add my font and credits along with my media logo that I had created in the past units. When it came to the text I was very unaware of what font I should use, but with help and testing different types of fonts I decided to do some research, in order to find the perfect movie styled font to be placed on to my film poster. I came across this font on DAFONT and I felt that it looked so professional and movie like, thus resulting in me adding it to my work.
The font was called SF MOVIE POSTER and is a font that is quite popularly used on the website, most people even stating for the same use as me, using it because its the appropriate and common font which is used for film posters.
(The font my target audience originally wanted me to use was a comic font, but after coming to realization, I realized that comic font looked pretty amateurish on my film poster and this new font looked better, so I decided to change the font to what I felt went appropriate with my film poster and to me I feel I made the best decision with that)

After placing my font on my film poster, all I was focused on doing next was adding little details into my work such as, adding a border for some of my titles, perhaps using brush stokes and also placing an age restriction button onto my poster.
Here is the final edit of my film poster ↓

Below is the annotated version of my film poster, showing you guys what each of these colours symbolize and why I had placed them here in a deeper perception.

Overall I am so pleased with the final outcome of my short film poster, I feel like all the features are perfect and combined greatly together. Since my film poster is completed and done the next step after this would be to begin shooting and recording the whole process of the short film.
