The sounds that will be present in my final major project the most, revolves around foley and music instrumentals. For the start of my short film I was looking for up-beat and unconventional beats that I could use to introduce the start of my film to my audience. For my final major project I will not be creating my own music but instead looking for copyright free music on Soundcloud, I chose Soundcloud as a website, merely because its a site that is open to a variety of beats which could be used as long as you credit the own.

When searching on the website all I needed to do was be specific in the searching options and ensure that the settings were clicked on ''can be commercially used'' which means it can be used to make a profit/outcome.

After browsing and browsing for specific beats that I wanted to be in the introduction of my short film, I finally stumbled across a musical instrumental that I really liked, which was produced by Majestic Color.

What Majestic Color does as a sound cloud account is help people find copyright free beats they can use for free. I really liked this instrumental beat once playing it and felt that it would be the perfect music used as, its an instrumental that is peaceful and calming that could be used to add to the atmosphere which is the park, when we hear my main character talking about how dogs gives them good vibes.

The process of collecting my foley's + the type of sounds I want to capture

When it came to collecting my foley's I had an basic idea of what sounds and noises I wanted to capture, I had decided to go the location where I would be shooting in which is King George's park and capture ambience sounds of nature or even my foot steps in the grass of me walking to emulate the sounds that my main character would be making when they're walking, as if I was them. The more airy sounds the better, where I can capture sounds of even birds chirping, just to add more to the atmosphere, I feel that it is very important to have foley's as some of these sounds are hidden and won't be as heard if you just rely on sounds being heard, using strictly a camera, therefore I need to ensure that I capture the foley's to enhance and put emphasis on these sounds that won't be heard throughout a camera.

Collecting the foley's were overall very difficult, I needed to find the right and specific spots where I could record and collect these distinctive types of sounds. I need to collect the sounds of the winds brushing against my microphone without it sounding to harsh or as if it is slapping across the microphone, which is very difficult to do at times as sometimes the microphone can be sensitive to such forceful winds.

Whilst spending approximately 20 minutes in the park I had finally got the types of foley sounds needed to help add to my final major project. Below is the type of sounds that I got :
