For my final major project, I have thought about a lot about the different types of lightings that I could use in my short film, such as using three pointing lighting or filters to create shadows.

However, due to my final major project being set in an specific area which contains a lot of nature and bright scenery I felt that natural lighting would be the best, as If I used different types of lighting techniques, it could disrupt and alter the look of a peaceful and calm atmosphere, ruining what is meant to be a natural and real-life setting. I want my shots to be earthy and life like, similar to what the lighting looked like on the trailer of the movie I deconstructed which was the Spanish movie The dog lady.

The use of props in my film -

When it comes to what type of props and items I will be using in my short film

I plan to use quite basic and easy to find items such as glasses, a key chain of a stuffed animal and a picture frame of a dog in it, I plan to use glasses as one of my props, merely because my main character is portrayed as a nerd and someone who is a loner, so I decided to buy stereotypical items that a nerd may have present in their appearance which is glasses.

I decided to look and browse at stuffed animals to be one of my props, merely because I felt that it would be great if their could be a scene where along with the picture frame of the dog we can see the main character stroking the stuffed animal, as if it was real to enhance and show more how crazy their obsession is, as they're trying their best to interact with a toy. - This is also the same reason why I wanted one of my props to be a picture of a dog in a picture frame to present and showcase to my audience that watch my final major project that this obsession is severe, as he is talking to a picture of a dog, possessing his feelings for it, as if its a human being.
