Unit 8 - Sketching and drawing my potential film posters (Primary Research)

From the Secondary Research that I had did about film posters, I decided to follow this up by creating some draft sketches of what my film poster may look like, using the primary research results I had received when I did my survey on survey monkey. Linking back to that post a variety of people said that they wanted :

• The font to be comic font

• The colors used to be Pink + Sliver

• My short film poster advertised at a bus stop

• The font to be less dominate than the image

• and for the tag line to be who let the dogs out...

So based on my drawings and drafts that I sketch out, I do intend to use all their feedback into my drawings and contribute all their opinions that my target audience had stated. Overall I had only designed two film poster concepts and once I was done completing them I had decided to ask some of my peer groups to choose which film poster concept they liked the best.

Below is the two designs and the feedback I received from both of them, using a survey and by making them pick the number of the one they had wanted. When it comes to actually digitally making my film poster, instead of seeing these plain drafts, you would see how I go to lengths to downloading the specific fonts and contributing the colours stated by my target audience.

DESIGN 1

I apologize for these designs haha, I am not the best drawer but design 1 just consists of rose petals being surrounded by the main character who will appear on my film poster. - Along with the desired tagline that my target audience wanted.

As for the second design it just consists of dog bones being surrounded the main character that will appear on my film poster. - Along with the desired tag line that my target audience wanted.

Below is the results I got from showing these drawing to my class mates.

As you can see from the chart analytics most of my class mates stated they wanted design number 1, so I guess that is the idea that I will proceed to make.
