Secondary Research - 1st Researching Potential Areas

In my podcast there will only be one area where Loretta and her councillor will be staying which will be in a private office type room, this was decided as people in my other part of research,

(the focus group) people had stated that the scene where Loretta is talking with her councillor should be set in a private office room.

All that is needed for me to do, is to research and browse some potential offices/ private rooms that could be the exact location of where Loretta and her councillor could be talking in. For this part of research, yet again I feel like it would be very beneficial to ask people in my class what office/ private room they like the best. So what I did was collected several images of different types of offices and potential environments that could be an option in my podcast, then I asked people in my class to pick the number of the location they think will be the best and why.

Doing this would help me find out what location would be the best and appealing especially towards my target audience, which is who I am going to be asking!

Getting a response - choosing my location.

Below is the response that I got from people in my class.

4 people said room number 6

2 people said room number 7

1 person said room number 4

I asked people around the ages of 16-17

As you can hear from the audio I recorded, a lot of people said that location number 6 would be

perfect, stating the same thing every time picking it, simply because of how the lighting in the room was dull and dark, and because it seemed like a cosy and good environment for people of older age to interact in. Two people said they liked room number 7 because of how professional it looked and because its a closed off area, meaning that it would just be the two of them alone,

and one person said they liked number 4 and that was mainly because they like the colors in the room and the props such as the laptops and the coke box.

It has been decided that :

The room that will be chosen as the primary location will be room number 6.

Overall I am very pleased with this choice, as I honestly did not mind what location people chose to pick. I am just happy that I found out the location people liked the most, and the location my target audience liked the most, which helped me even more to do my best to make my podcast relatable & pleasant to them.
