Unit 5 - Character Development (Podcast) - Planning

In my podcast they will be three voices present one from, the widow, one from her her councillor who will be interacting with her in a private room and another from a news reporter who will be talking about what happened to her husband.

Here is some of the features my characters will have and what they will look like.

I decided not to include the features of the councillor as she is not a main character and is in-fact just a voice speaking to her. - Same with the news reporter.

Description of her :

A lady who is her early 60's similar to the age of the woman called Jeann who made her widow podcast.

Communication Style :

↓ Loretta Jones talks and speaks with a old yet youthful voice, When talking she often takes breaks and tends to stutter frequently. She is very descriptive when describing events, obtaining a huge vocabulary. She loves speaking about the good old days where she was dancer, and the day that her and her husband first met.

Loretta Jones is known to have many relationships, in-fact even in her old days she was very sociable, she was what people called a social butterfly and had the reputation of being the it girl, as her dancing skills were impressive and inventive.

When it comes to her family, Loretta has loads of family such as nieces and nephews who are currently living in Jamaica, Loretta's home town. She currently has one daughter called Billie who is her 40's and a grandson called Curtis who is 17.

Both of her parents died in Jamaica due to old age

Loretta's love life was quite rocky, as she decided that her main focus should be on her dancing career, but one day when she was performing she saw someone in the crowd in which she admired and found attractive, little did she know that he was going to be her husband and that she was going to be a widow.

She tends to other think a situation and causes herself to stress, she wonders what she could have done to prevented his death, she often blames herself, as she had an argument and wasn't speaking to him the day he died.

Norman speaks very loud and says things how it is, he doesn't care if it hurts anyone feelings, he believes in the telling the truth rather than lying. When talking about his wife Loretta he describes her using three words : my beautiful sunflower. he has a deep and raspy voice.

Relationships :

Norman is a man with many relatives having 3 brothers and 2 sisters, he also has two nephews and nieces, all of his relatives live in Barbados and he is the only one who is in London. Both of his parents died, his mother to cancer and his dad to heart failure.

Love Life :

Norman's love life was quite empty, he never really had anyone who he thought he was in love with or perfect with, it took a lot of time where he had to find himself. One day he went to a dance event and he found his true love which was Loretta and at that moment he knew she was the one who would be perfect for him.

Character Defect :

He takes Loretta for granted and often believes that he is never good enough for her, they're times where he doesn't treat her with the respect she deserves making arguments occur a lot in their relationship, even an argument before he had died.

So here is all the features my characters will have, all that is needed for me to do is for me to create and structure a script.
