Creating my Sketches (Logo & getting Feedback) - Primary Research

The Sketches I made of my logos

Here is the sketches I had drawn of my several logos that I will be taking into consideration of producing as my media institute logo. When doing this I was inspired a lot by other different logos and decided to draw my own styled version of them.

1st logo idea

For the first logo option, I had decided to draw an eye, but not just any ordinary eye the third eye. One of things I believe in is the third eye, which is the eye of truth, the eye that knows all wisdom. I thought this would be a perfect logo idea, as it would represent that my institute presents the truth and only the truth. I had decided to color in it to show that my media institute is bright, vibrant and spreads positive energy. In my opinion this logo is my favorite.

2nd logo idea

The next logo I did was very much inspired by the Netflix Logo (2014 version) I really liked the carnival theme, the stripes and the black outline, So I had decided to contribute that to this Logo. The logo has the words ''MED'' and what that is a acronym for the word media. For this logo I wanted to produce the Netflix Logo in my own vision and style without completely imitating their idea.

3rd logo idea

For the last logo I took inspiration from the Youtube Play button, One of the activities that I like to do in my spare time is to watch youtube videos, I like the style of the youtube play button and like that the logo itself is self explanatory you already know what it represents and you don't need words to define it which is streaming. When it came to design of my logo I did not use the youtube play button which is white and red, because I wanted to make this logo my own rather than steal their idea.

Feedback - On my logo ideas

On my other blog post I had stated how I will be going to the members of the public just to see what logo of mine they like the best, so I can get a better picture of what they find attractive and what logo I should make.

When it came to asking people what they liked the majority of them said that they liked the eye logo because it was colorful shiny and looked quite unique.

6 people said they liked the eye logo. - popular choice

For the 2nd logo which was the Netflix themed inspired logo only 3 people said they liked it and for the last logo which was the youtube play button inspired logo, no one said they liked it. From this feedback I have now decided what logo to start working on which is the eye logo, overall I am very happy for my feedback because people liked the design that was my favorite which was based on the third eye. I look forward to producing it and the next process is drafting it on photoshop and then animating it further Premier Pro.
