Secondary Research Pt 2 - Promotional Video (Brixton)

In order for my promotional video to be a success, I had decided to do more research on the new areas, me and my team would be shooting in. The new areas that me and my team had now decided to focus on in Brixton were.

And Brixton Market

Here is the mood board that I had created for my research, On the mood-board it shows Brixton and all the types of shops and sights Brixton as an area has.

I decided that it would be necessary to make a mood-board, as it could help bring the concept of my ideas to life before shooting. Making a mood-board also helped give my group a visual interpretation of what I'm hoping the promotional video could be created and styled like.

Brixton Pop

Information on Brixton Pop :

Pop Brixton is a community spaced area, that has allowed people to promote their local or independent businesses. In Pop Brixton a lot of events are held, such as halloween parties and film festivals where people can watch films. With activities from Yoga, to Tai Chi, you're never left bored or un-entertained at Pop Brixton. Most of these activities are either free or priced, but even if you're asked to spend money, you still don't have to pay that much as these activities cost as little as £7

At Pop Brixton they're activities for all ages and people!

Pop Brixton also has a variety of pop up restaurants, where you can eat food from around the world, such as African food, Jamaican food and even Asian Cuisines. If you're more of a hamburger or pizza type of person, you have the choice as they're several pop up restaurants that sell gourmet burgers, fries and pizza's.

Of course you would want to eat your meal with a beverage, Pop Brixton has everything you need as they're also drink stations where you could order an alcoholic beverage or just a fizzy drink.

I believe that its good that me and my group have decided to pick Pop Brixton, as a location to shoot. It is a great location as it is was opened last year, and is a new establishment in Brixton, that may not be known by some people who do not live in Brixton. The whole point of our promotional video is to show how brixton has changed, and this is a prime example of how different Brixton has become, as a new community space has been opened and has given visitors a variety of activities to do.

So shooting it in our promotional video would be very eye-catching to our audience. It would make our audience be intrigued, as Pop Brixton, does not just have pop up restaurants but it also has events being held for all types of ages and people.

Brixton Market

Information on Brixton Market:

Brixton Market is a street market that is located in the middle centre of Brixton. In Brixton market loads of stations are available where you have the option to buy anything, from fruits and vegetables to different types of clothing and cultural prints. Brixton Market is well known to sell a lot of Caribbean and African produce, It just shows how Brixton has changed and transformed into such a diverse and cultural area.

At Brixton Market you can find and purchase almost anything, They're hair shops where men and women can purchase hair products and accessories. Their is even technician shops where people can purchases headphones and phone accessories.

Brixton Market has variety of pop up shops and stations where you could practically get any product you desire, from clothing, to butchers meat and clothes.

Shooting in Brixton, would be very beneficial to add in our promotional video as it has vastly changed from 1961 to 2016. It would be helpful and educational to those who are not familiar with Brixton Market and the produce that is sold their.
