Dear diary, In week 2 I was assigned a task by my tutor. I have documented the process below.
Task : Create a short film with various shot types and angles.
Short film Name : Broken Hearted
Brief introduction about what my film is about :
The concept of my short film was about a girl who's heart is broken by her significant other.
Production Phase
Once production was made I was introduced by my teacher to some props such as balloons. I thought that adding a balloon in our short film would be a great as we could use a Chroma key effect and transform the balloon into a different object. The green balloon was supposed to represent the actresses heart. Unfortunately it was difficult to do so, as the balloon was not green enough and had a reflection on it.
When doing this project, I worked in a team. I worked with Tatum and Serene.
Music choice
For this short film, I really wanted to add music that represented how the broken hearted girl was feeling, Which was devastated and distressed. I wanted to show that someone has truly hurt her. Which resulted in me adding a very soft toned song. I believe that this song was perfect in creating the mood and atmosphere she was in. At the end of the short film we see she has moved on and looks for a better future, as she throws the balloon in the air and the music begins to become more gentle.
Editing Process
Editing this piece in Premiere Pro was actually quite easy, I got used to most of the basic functions on the software. I can now say, that I am fully confident in using this software.

Evaluation : I believe that this short film was really good, however I do see some defects in it. For example at the end of the movie the camera seems to move slightly. Tatum was the camera woman and I just feel like if the movement was smooth it would have looked more professional and would have made the scene look a lot better.
