Dear diary, today was very productive day. Emma had given us a task to produce a short film, that had to consist of mostly still recordings on top of a tripod. When doing this task, I worked in a group of three it was Me, Angus and Tatum. The plot of our short film was about a girl who had lost her phone. At first she remains angry, but then she realizes that she is probably better of without it. Only to realize that it was in her bag all the time, which makes her end up being anti social again. We had specific shots that we needed to obtain when doing this practical, we needed to do at least 3 medium shots and 3 close ups.
This activity was fun, as we went all as a class to the park and got to work with others, we may not be familiar with. the weather was an added bonus as it was hot which gave good and bright natural lighting when recording.
EDITING PROCESS

After I captured the footage we then had to edit it on Premiere pro. It was my second time editing on this software and I must admit it was difficult, but not as difficult as the first time I had used it. I know how to do the basics as I mentioned in my earlier post, but I was very new to rendering clips and saving it in different formats. I guarantee that I will improve my editing skills on premiere pro, I just believe that it would take some time to do so.
Here is the final edit of the short film Phone Lost
Evaluation
Overall there was some problems when recording. I would say this problem is very minor, but in some scenes on my final edit I look quite a bit blurry. I would say that it does not look that bad but it is a tiny bit noticeable.
Another problem that I faced in production was adjusting the ISO in the camera settings. When doing so, it was quite hard as it would make the camera make me appear darker or to bright, so bright that I was not even seen once the camera was recording. Luckily Emma helped me sort out this problem, and educated us a bit more on how the ISO should be settled especially in an environment where there was direct sunlight present.
I could say now that I am a bit more confident and more knowledgable of how an ISO works.
